Wireless CarPlay vs Wired: Which Should You Choose?

Wired connection uses a Lightning cable for iPhones or a USB-C cable for Android devices. It gives you the more stable connection of the two, and it charges your phone throughout the journey. For longer drives, that combination of reliability and charging is hard to beat.

Wireless connection works via Bluetooth. The phone pairs automatically each time you start the engine. There is no cable to manage. Many of our customers find this the more satisfying daily experience. The phone stays in a pocket and CarPlay appears on screen without any action from them.
